Master of Information Technology
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants who have received the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UP with a weighted average of 2.5 or better, or Diploma in Computer Science from UP with a weighted average grade of 2.0 or better are automatically qualified for dmission.
All other applicants must satisfy the following qualifications:
- holders of Bachelor's degree in any field from any recognized institution with an average of 2.0 or better;
- proficient in at least one programming language; and,
- with at least two years of IT-related work experience (waived if the applicant is a BS in Computer Science, BS in IT or BS in Information Management graduate).
Acceptability of an applicant will be determined on the following basis:
- A fully accomplished application form
- An official transcript of records and other certificates of training
- Work description and other documentation of IT-related projects
- Two letters of recommendation from former professors and/or employers
Applicants who will not satisfy the admission requirements will be advised to apply for the Diploma in Computer Science program.
MASTER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CURRICULUM
The Master of Information Technology is awarded if the student obtains a weighted general average of 2.0 or better in the coursework, satisfies the seminar requirement, passes a general examination, and successfully implements an IT-based application project.
