Announcing the offering of Image Sequence Processing (CMSC 191: Special Topic) for the 1st Semester 2006-2007.

Description

CMSC 191: Image Sequence ProcessingThis course will introduce the students to methods for manipulating, analyzing, and extracting useful information from image sequences. The methods will be taught in the context of useful applications. Students could expect to find interesting problems as topic for their SP.

Topics

Topics include (but are not restricted to):

  • Background subtraction/object extraction
  • Motion detection
  • Movie special effects
  • Object tracking
  • Event detection
  • Real-time computer vision

Prerequisites

Prospective students should:

  • be of Junior or Senior standing
  • have finished CMSC 123
  • be familiar with C or C++
