The committee's main functions are the following:
- To recommend policies concerning the ICS student, faculty and administrative staff use of computing services;
- To draft the ICS Regulations for the Acceptable Use of Computing Facilities and Services (AUCFS);
- To conduct consultations with the faculty and staff on policies related to the AUCFS; and
- To identify the basic computing needs of faculty and administrative staff such as:
- levels of computing required to support administration;
- hardware and software requirements;
- useful lifecycle of equipment; and
- access to printers.
